Polka dots seem to be huge this season! I love it and it can work with any outfit. The dots take some time, but a little extra effort will bring some wow! factor to it all. I used a very pale pink – Velvet Rose by Oil of Olay. It took several layers to get it just right. Coat 1 – 5 from left to right, pinky to thumb.
As you can see, it starts off very translucent and gradually becomes more opaque with each coat. I think I settled on four layers to make the pink a bit more visible. I applied very thin layers so that it dries quickly before I applied another coat.
Now on to the dots! You can get creative here by using any color(s) you want. I decided to keep it monochromatic and neutral by using grey tones. With a dotting tool, I dipped it in Midnight Metal by Cover Girl’s Nail Slick. Just a couple dots…
I continued to use a smaller dotting tool to dot with Hot Metallic Shower by New York Summer. Once dried, I just brushed over the silver dots with Silver Glitter by Sation. Finish off with top coat and voila!
